Tony Nguyen the Vietnamese entrepreneur, is looking to open in time for Christmas with a unique concept which at this point is still confidential. More details to follow.

Press Release: Johnnie Mountain Opens City Restaurant - 7 October 2010

Cedar Dean Gilmarc acted jointly with Colliers International on behalf of The Whitbread Group PLC in the letting of the former Slug & Lettuce, 171 – 176 Aldersgate Street, London, EC1.

The property has been acquired by the critically acclaimed celebrity Chef Johnnie Mountain, whose catering career spans over twenty years.  Johnnie has served as Chef in some of the country’s most well-known and highly reputed restaurants including Alastair Little, The Fat Duck, Zilli Fish and the Mirabelle.  

The restaurant has opened for business and is trading as The English Pig and will specialise in serving Johnnie’s signature dish,  ‘21 hour slow roasted pork belly’,  only serving pork sourced from Johnnie’s own herd of outdoor reared pigs.

Cedar Dean Gilmarc acted on behalf of Frank Kasynski in the disposal of the leasehold interest of ‘The Box Bar’,  a prime double-fronted unit on Seven Dials, in the centre of London’s Covent Garden.   

The Purchaser Adam Wills, one of the founding directors of Gourmet Burger Kitchen (now owned by the Clapham House Group PLC), will be launching his new restaurant concept from the premises located on 32-34 Monmouth Street.

The former bar will be completely redesigned to create an exciting new restaurant, which is due to open in time for Christmas.

Colliers CRE acted on behalf of the vendors Marston’s PLC.  The former bar  which is 6549 Sq Ft over ground & basement floors will be remodelled to  create a 60 cover restaurant/ bar”.
